Who is Selling the Best Smart Phone?

I will endeavor to do a quick overview of the iPhone and the Blackberry Storm. First off they are both full screen smart phones. They both give you the ability to send and receive emails, open attachments in various formats, they both have a camera and video built in, they both allow you to play MP3′’s, they both run on the 3G network and they both have built in satellite navigation.

Now that we know that they are both quite similar where are the differences. First off Apple created the portable MP3 market and unless you”re like me and hate iTunes the Apple will win in the music player department for most The other piece to notice is that the iPhone comes with a substantially larger built in hard drive, where the Storm wins is the fact that it’’s hard drive is expandable to as large as a micro SD will handle which today is 16 GB.

Next stop is emailing which the Storm wins hands down, the Blackberry was originally designed to run emails and send and receive them very quickly. You can program your iPhone to send and receive in quick intervals but that Storm is designed to send you the email as soon as the network receives it.

Keyboards, if you have ever used an iPhone before you”ll have to admit the keyboard sucks and takes forever to get used it. It’’s so called smart key system doesn”t work which for business in my opinion makes the iPhone useless. The Storm has the most amazing keyboard which for the first time ever uses a full screen that depresses and clicks each time you type. Finally a full screen that still gives you the touch and feel of the old qwerty keyboards!

The GPS navigation system for both works very well I was told that the Storm is the only one with voice navigation. I have been unable to verify whether or not the iPhone does or doesn”t have this feature. They both are easy to use and the maps are easy to read.

The camera’’s on both units are very similar, while I realize many of us use the camera’’s on our phones I have to be honest I am a camera buff and usually have a digital SLR near me at any given time. While both units take similar picture quality and both have 3.2 megapixel camera’’s in my opinion they take horrible pictures.

I would have to say at the end of the day if you run a business and emails are important then the Storm is the superior unit. If you”re under the age of 25 and you want a unit that will allow you t have fun the iPhone is for you. Happy shopping both of these units are fantastic at the end of the day!
