Replacing Your Older Cell Phone

March 31, 2008

By Aaron Siegel

Many people become very frustrated when it comes to replacing their cell phone with all the models on offer; they now boast an ever increasing range of functions but just where does it end? So you won”t get caught in a ”decision trap”, become educated before you make your next phone purchase; some interesting buying facts are supplied in this article.

Sometimes we delay charging as we are too busy and this often means the phone fails but leaving recharging like this isn”t a good idea. There is nothing worse than finding out your cell phone battery is no longer holding a charge for very long as you seem to be recharging it constantly and you will probably need a new one.

Whilst there are a number of methods that can help extend the life of your cell phone battery, one really easy way is to lower the brightness of the screen back light. It doesn”t normally have to be at full intensity for you to see what’’s on the screen. Actually talking on the phone uses the most power when it is being operated as it is being used as a transmitter so reduce the length of calls and turn it off if you find yourself in an area with poor reception as the cell phone battery will drain itself trying to find a signal. When ever you use your cell phone; talking, playing games, listening to music, taking picture with the flash or surfing the Internet, it will drain the battery faster so limit these activities otherwise you may not be able to make that urgent call you need.

You will often find that wallpapers, ring tones and images that are downloaded automatically will have a charge even though this is not mentioned at the start so be aware. Children are usually the most likely candidates to get caught out like this so if you are buying a phone for your child try to buy a model where you can disable this function with a password.

Cell phone plans are generally available where you pay only when it is used or through a contract that supplies a pre-agreed amount of minutes per month. It really does depend on the type of user you are as infrequent users benefit from the ”pay per use” plans. Weigh the prices of both types of agreements before signing on the dotted line because if you plan to use your phone regularly, then a long-term contract might be worth it. Many features are specific to certain plans so you will need to think about how you intend to use the phone to have the best features you require as part of your contract.

It is always a good idea once you are happy that your plan supplies everything you need so check the small print in case there are any further costs not immediately apparent that will be payable once you have signed on the dotted line. It is now common for people with long term contracts to have an insurance warranty included which will replace their phone if it is damaged, lost or stolen. This is more common than people think and the last thing you want is to be stuck with the bill for replacement.

When buying cell phones online, be sure the phone is up-to-date and carries all the features you want. You can then visit a local store to purchase minutes or to sign up for a contract but just be sure you buy from a company you trust.

Scheduling 2.0: Three New Approaches

March 31, 2008

By Andre Vanier

Team meetings conference calls and virtual appointments are standard fare these days. If any aspect of your job involves coordinating with others (and whose doesn”t) you know how tricky it can be to sync schedules. And if you”ve ever hit “reply all” to an e-mail to try and find a good meeting time, you”ve felt the pain.

If everyone in your organization uses Outlook with the same exchange server, and makes calendars publicly viewable, you”re in luck. Simply do a compare calendar pull-down in Outlook and choose the best available opening. But for the rest of us, scheduling is time-consuming.

The explosion of Web and communication technologies has meant growing availability expectations. Yet, the tools to facilitate scheduling have lagged behind. That’’s now starting to change, and here are three new approaches involving free resources and tools being developed by Web 2.0 companies.

1. Use a polling/voting application

Several startups have launched tools which use polling to determine optimal meeting times. Examples of such services include MeetingWizard and ScheduleOnce.

You choose a time zone and specify the dates and time frames during which you are available. Invitees rank whether the options are possible or preferred and then input a list of invitees for that meeting. Invitees receive a link leading to a landing page and after invitees have voted, the organizer sees the most popular option.

The process of choosing the ideal time can be a lengthy one during which the calendaring availability of the organizer or other participants may have changed. But for those with complex coordination requirements, polling and voting mechanisms can definitely make scheduling easier.

2. Make your calendar public

In the last few months, two startups have quietly launched innovative services which allow users to publicly share calendars. TimeBridge allows you to post a personal availability link or badge online such as a blog, e-mail signature or social networking page. The availability link/badge points to a web-based calendar and the service also enables users to integrate their Google calendaring applications.

MeetingStarter has a clever methodology for initiating the scheduling process. It combines some of the polling/voting functionality mentioned earlier with an interface in which users broadcast their scheduling availability to selected invitees for one or more events.

Invitees click a link to a dedicated landing page specific to that organizer or meeting and can schedule themselves into the organizer’’s calendar. These methods do require more work up-front for the organizer but can simplify the task of handling complex scheduling requirements.

3. Use a light-weight collaboration tool

Time spent on scheduling usually follows the 80/20 rule. Twenty percent of meetings are difficult to schedule and the calendaring/voting systems work well. But for the other eighty percent, a lighter-weight solution is preferable.

Simply taking the scheduling process from e-mail and moving it to a commonly accessible web page is a major improvement. Services such as Evite built their entire businesses on the one insight that e-mails flying back-and-forth are an inefficient way to arrange large events. The same insight also applies to conference calls, a market segment not addressed by those services.

One increasingly popular approach uses lightweight collaboration tools which enable an organizer to choose a conference call time and indicate whether the timing is negotiable. Invitees are invited to respond with their availability and comment on preferred alternatives. Crucially, this scheduling process occurs on a dedicated web page which is viewable by all participants rather than over a series of one-on-one emails.

The Necessary SEO Adjustments to Cope With The New Google

March 30, 2008

By Moe Tamani

Life is a constant change, they all say. Nothing in this world is permanent, except for change itself. Everything changes with time, and there is not one thing in this world that’’s exempt from such a process. Search engines are included and, as trends come and go for the Internet, so do these engines” rules and tactics.

Just recently, Google has introduced a critical update to its operation. Nicknamed ”Jagger,” the update was done in 3 parts and practically turned the SEO world around. Jagger has made various changes to the algorithms and rules of how Google judges the relevancy and Page Rank of a website.

SEO rules are in for a big revamp, and to survive in this world, sites must change with it.

Coping with Change Ensures Survival
Jagger has made changes to three key areas that are crucial in the calculation of a page rank. These areas include the lifetime of a website, the calculation of back links, and the content and structure of a website.

In order to ensure the present ranking of your website, it is important to understand how Jagger has changed the rules regarding these three areas. That way, as an SEO specialist, you could make the necessary changes and adjustments to your tactics so that you could preserve your current ranking through not just Jagger, but for future updates as well.

Knowing Your Site’’s History and Backlinks
The first area concerns the length of time that you have been operating your website. When you are introducing a new website, you could expect difficulties and some obstacles in attaining page ranking in Google. You also have to make efforts in the beginning to optimize a website towards a keyword that is less competitive in order to garner more chances of beating the competition.

However, as time passes, you start building up the necessary links in order to gain relevancy. In this sense, a site becomes more and more relevant as its history builds up (providing that its pages are optimized to be actually relevant with certain search terms), and as your site’’s relevance goes up, you gain in rank among Google’’s search results.

Google’’s PageRank algorithm judges backlinks using the factor of relevance in mind. It gives greater weight to those links that point to your site from a site that is related to you. This was done before to answer attempts at link farming (a black hat SEO technique) by spam sites, which involve the establishment of sites that are purely intended to point their own sites in order to gain PageRank. For example, if a web design firm posts a link pointing to your SEO company’’s site, this link has more weight and importance to Google’’s eyes.

With this latest update, Google has given more weight to relevant links that have been pointing to a certain site for a certain period of time. In other words, links that have a long history are given higher value under the latest update. Now, not only does Google count the number of links pointing to your site but it also means it is checking for how long that backlink has existed in calculating your PageRank.

As a direct effect of this update, the tactic of building up links by buying them are no longer as effective as it was before. Since Google values older links more than new ones, this means webmasters that resort to buying backlinks will have to wait (while paying money) for quite a while before these links gain any significant value to Google’’s calculations.

SEO specialists” reliance on the keyword density requirement has been critically affected by the update. No longer does Google give weight to specific pages that are relevant to a single keyword. With the Jagger update, Google is now designed to look at a whole site’’s structure and content for relevancy to a certain theme. This totally changes black hat SEO tactics to gain relevancy for various searches by constructing pages that are individually themed for different keywords.

This means that SEO efforts should now be directed towards structuring a site around a certain theme, not just a single keyword. For example, if your website is about cars, your individual pages comprising your whole site should be centered on topics that are related to cars. With the Jagger update, you could see that general directories that use to appear on top rankings have diminished in numbers. Instead, directories for specific categories are gaining prominence among search engine result pages.

The New Era - Effectively Using Your Digital Content Thru a Hosted Solution

March 28, 2008

By don smith

The New Era of Truly Having Access and Use of your Digital Assets in one centralized location has arrived by subscribing to a hosted digital content database that may be accessed through any web browser.

Digital Asset Management is the storage, cataloguing, search, retrieval, download, sharing and publishing of an individual’’s or company’’s rich digital media assets.

According to leading analyst firms, hosted digital asset management is a growing market trend. More than an IT infrastructure component, DAM is rapidly becoming an important application supporting marketing operations and other lines of business. Hosting offers a deployment alternative that eliminates infrastructure cost or the related in-house IT resources necessary to manage an installed system. And as the value of DAM extends beyond the creative team, high availability is needed to serve a global user community.

Companies will often choose a hosted solution for the bandwidth, network monitoring, redundancy, failover and managed services. These benefits are often costly to achieve if the desired alternative is to build an in house system.

Due to the overwhelming infrastructure requirements, timeframe, and costs, only high end advertising and media companies have been able to afford to use and effectively manage their digital assets.

Today, digital media is a growing concern for corporations. More than ever, company brand identity is contained in digital media, which spans a range of marketing content including images, photos, video, presentations, HTML web pages, and desktop publishing files. Digital media is used to drive sales, deliver information, create user communities, and establish brands in the marketplace.

Because it conveys a company’’s brand strategy, the value of digital media extends well beyond the expense of creating it. Recently, John Wornack, former CEO of Adobe Systems, Inc., was quoted as saying ” for every 1 minute spent creating a rich media asset, five minutes are spent finding it”.

In most companies, business units are demanding greater access causing executive teams to create better standards and establish better controls around these assets.

As digital media becomes an increasingly important asset, the lack of management, accessibility, and auditing make it difficult to fully exploit and protect its value. Most of it is spread across the enterprise, and is typically inaccessible and unshared. The problem is so pervasive that IDC estimates that software for the management of rich media will grow to be a $1.2 billion market by 2008, and the American Management Association sees rich media volume doubling each year.

Many companies have begun to explore digital asset management (DAM) systems to manage their digital media. These systems are designed to ingest and manage digital media, and transform the content into file formats for general business use outside the creative team.

Too often these DAM projects move slowly due to the high-cost of entry, IT infrastructure, network, and resource investments that are needed. This makes Web-Based DAM systems a viable alternative for companies looking for high availability, and the ability to extend the value of digital media beyond the creative organization.

There are a number of newly launched companies offering subscription based content management systems. MAVRIC Media, of Palo Alto, CA., and Clearstory Systems are emerging as the leaders in hosted, cost effective solutions. These services offer even the small free-lance professional access to powerful digital asset management tools. According to Don Smith, Co-Founder of Mavric Media, a subscription web based digital asset management system offers creative media professionals and corporations a phased in approach to using their digital assets more effectively. The cost to benefit ratio is immediately recognized in any collaborative use effort, says Smith.

The primary drivers to managing digital assets are more demanding consumers of digital media within the organization, then to the sub-contractors and outsourced marketing groups. Hosted service offers a subscription-based, pay as you go model for companies needing an immediate solution that can be used in a self serve environment. Both Clearstory and Mavric Media offer a growth path that can eventually result in an in-house solution for the enterprise user.

For some, using a hosted digital asset management service offers a cost-effective model for proof-of-concept. It allows businesses to refine requirements and prove the solution to justify the infrastructure and resource investments of an installed system.

Hosting also allows companies to a way to fast track the use of these assets to keep up with competition. In this case, companies can enjoy a more immediate return, keep pace in the marketplace, and determine the best long term plan for managing their assets in house.

For most companies, a hosted solution versus an installed system is not an either/or choice. Cost and time to create the system are primary drivers. There is often a logical progression as needs change and grow. With this in mind, many analysts recommend that companies consider a solution that can accommodate changing needs and business models. As user adoption of the DAM system increases the system must provide for growth whether hosted or installed in house.

A web based hosted digital asset management solution, supports users outside of the organization, marketing or sales teams in the field, or the general public.

This is accomplished thru security rights created by the administrator. When used effectively, anyone with a common browser and appropriate privileges can access the content they need around the clock.

Hosted solutions can be very valuable for companies looking to build a business case for enterprise implementation. Hosting offers a low-cost way to demonstrate if a solution increases productivity while managing costs. This prevents the delays that can occur while struggling to achieve buy-in, which can result in significant loss and missed opportunity. In other words, if the ROI model is defined, yet it takes you six months to implement an installed solution, what is the cost associated with the delay?

The main reason for choosing a hosted solution at first is that it’’s a risk free way to find the right solution. Often a key objection is that customers fear they will be trapped with the solution they select. Using a provider that offers a web based solution is the best choice for ultimate flexibility.

With hosted services, companies can focus their attention and resources on their core business activities, rather than managing and maintaining an installed application. Companies can save time and money on IT investments, and bring new products and services to market more quickly.

Be sure to choose a solution that it is completely self serve and used through a common web interface, and offers the user full administrative capability.

MAVRIC Media offers a hosted, web-based visual database for content management that is easy-to-use, can be customized and is ready to access in minutes.

Top 7 MP3 Music Download Sites Reviewed - Find Out Where To Get Free Music Downloads

March 28, 2008

By Chris McCann

There are so many websites out there to download music, but which one is the best? I don”t want to spend too much time on each one, just a couple of things to point out that I came across while evaluating each one of these methods for downloading MP3′’s. So take 5 minutes of you time and read through this article and see which one is right for you. You won”t be disappointed.

Monthly Fees Apply to These

Let’’s start with the 3 most popular that everyone knows about- I-Tunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and eMusic.

i-Tunes- I liken i-Tunes to AOL 10-12 years ago. Everyone used AOL as their ISP, just because they didn”t know better. Other ISP’’s took you to the same internet for less than half the price. Once people caught on and realized this they started using other ISP’’s. Same thing with i-Tunes. They were kind of the first legitimate music download site. Sure they have a few extra bells and whistles that other music download sites don”t have. But do you really want to pay more for the same MP3′’s you could get else where? A lot of people are abandoning i-Tunes these days for less expensive alternatives. I did, and I”m glad I did. $.99/per track.

Napster- the once proud home of FREE MP3 downloads. Until Metalica went before congress and ruined it for all of us. Gone are the days of FREE MP3′’s. So if that is what you are looking for, forget about it. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FREE MP3”S. If you find something out there promising this, be careful, it’’s probably illegal, so shame on you. Anyway Napster had to reinvent themselves and now you pay for their service. It’’s ok, I guess, but I like others better. $12.95/month

Rhapsody- I really like Rhapsody and it has many loyal users, I used it for many years myself. It’’s easy to use, they have a pretty good selection and by far the best search utility to help you find the music you are looking for. If you”re just looking for MUSIC Downloads, this is a pretty good way to go. The only downside is the monthly fees you have to keep dishing out. $12.99 for Rhapsody, and $12.99 if you want to get Real Player Plus. It was just announced recently that Rhapsody will acquire Yahoo! Music, so it should be interesting to see what benefit that will bring th Rhapsody users.

The following have the option of 1 year, 2 year, or lifetime memberships. No monthly fees apply.

These 2 are almost identical. Mostly the same features, software is almost the same to use. Some have more files available for downloading, but all in all pretty much the same thing, when it comes down to it.

Unlimitedmp3downloads.com
Liftetime membership $34.94

MP3Download.net
Liftetime membership $34.95

My Top 2 Favorites by Far:

Zune
300 Million files- This one is really popular right now. Tons of new registrations each day.
Liftetime membership $34.95 for MP3
Liftetime membership $49.95 for video and MP3

The best thing about this one is the free bonuses you get. Free DVD/CD copying software (make backup’’s of your favorite DVD’’s, a must if you have kids like me that destroy things), free spyware/adware/pop-up blocker/ antivirus software and personal firewall. $245 in bonus software. With all the security risks today, if you”re online a lot like I am you need these tools to protect your computer. They are all yours free when you register with Zune Empire. you really can”t beat that! Even if you never used the MP3 software, it’’s worth it just get all that other software free.

K-Lite
800 Million songs and videos. Can you even get your head around that number. Talk about a selection!
No monthly fees, unlimited downloads, no spyware or adware (this is very important- some MP3 sites out there will give you real cheap access, but then flood your computer with spyware and adware. Trust me, you don”t want that.
Liftetime membership $39.95 for MP3
DVD Backup Software $9.95
DVD Quality Movie Downloads $9.95

This is a little more expensive than the others ($5.00 for Music, $19.90 for Movies and CD/DVD software) but the price is worth it when it comes to the selection and ease of use. If you don”t want the other two pieces of software, this is the best one. If you really got have that software, go with Zune Empire for $49.95.

The last 4 companies listed here are all pretty much the same thing/same price. It’’s just a matter of personal preference. Having tried them all, I would highly recommend either of the last two- Zune Empire or K-Lite. They have the biggest selection, most features, and best customer support. You really can”t go wrong for $34.95. That is less than what I would pay to take my wife out to dinner at someplace half way decent.

The bottom line is, if you”re like me, you probably invested $200-$400 on a decent MP3 player. You want to get the most out of it- Music, Videos, Movies, etc. Scrounge up the $34.95 or $49.95 if you want videos, and invest in some software that will let you use your MP3 player for what it was intended for. You”ll be glad you did.

Home Theater Equipment: Upgradeable Surround Sound

March 27, 2008

By Laurie Lindsay

There are many great and not so great surround sound and home theater systems on the market today. With so many from which to choose how on earth do you know what to look for in order to get your money’’s worth? The answer to that just might be easier than you have imagined. The thing to remember when it comes to technology is that it is constantly evolving. This means that it is in your best interest to find a surround sound or home theater system that is upgradeable.

In fact, I would say that this alone would be my number one requirement when purchasing a home theater or surround sound system in today’’s market. If you purchase an AV receiver that has room to expand as technology for sound advances then you have the foundation for building an even better system over time. If you can find a good deal on an AV receiver that is also THX certified then you are setting the stage for an outstanding system once you have everything in place.

While speakers are extremely important you can buy the 5 speakers plus subwoofer that you will need for a 5.1 channel surround sound system at a reasonable price and make plans to purchase better speakers in time. You want to make certain that the speakers you buy are some that you can definitely live with as you save for even better speakers in the future but buying a set for now that has a decent quality of sound rather than stretching your budget for those that are better means that you can save your money and in time buy an even better set of speakers for your surround sound system or home theater.

The really good news is the speakers you like today that are just out of your price range will be priced lower this time next year. Of course, there will be even better speakers on the market by that time. If you save your money over the course of the next year in a year you can upgrade to a far superior system even while you”ve been enjoying the system you currently own the entire time. Imagine how much more pleasure you will receive from your investment once you”ve made an upgrade?

Another great thing to think about when it comes to upgrades is that they are not an all or nothing proposition. You can upgrade one piece at a time and never have to go without in order to achieve excellent sound quality that simply keeps getting better. While I know on one hand that sacrifice is good for the soul I”m never too thrilled about giving up things that bring me pleasure in order to get better things later. Doing things this way I get to have great sound while I”m saving for even better sound in the future. It’’s like having your caking and your neighbors cake too!

As you wander through the aisles of your local electronics store and check out all the options that are available be sure to take the time to look at things you will wish to make plans for in the future. Be sure that the components you buy today are in line with the things you”d like to add to your surround sound system in the future and don”t lose sight of the ultimate goal by overspending on a starter set.

A History Of The Barcode And Barcode Scanners

March 27, 2008

By Anna Stenning

Have you ever wondered how long barcode scanners have been in use for in major retail shops? For many people, this is the only means of security and accurately storing information about the product. Those many of the younger generation will not know that this system has only been around the seventies, even though the barcode did not pick up properly until the eighties.

Prior to barcodes and barcode scanners (also known as barcode readers), there were no real monitoring system, stock counting and monitoring were completed manually. This was a time consuming and laborious task, often leading to miscounts and guesswork on the stocktaking. It is hard to believe that barcodes were not in use until nearly forty years ago, as this is now an essential part of our modern life. This begs to raise the question of, how did we function without barcodes?

Before the notion of automating the grocery checkout point, there were no such thing as a scanner or electrical device to read the product code. In fact, there were no real system of buying for a long time, therefore grocery shops and shop owners were at risk from theft and burglary. The only way to prevent this was physically count each product one by one, recording down on paper how many of the products were left and correlating how many had been sold against the takings.

As grocery stores were expanding and more products were being stocked it became vital that an accurate inventory was completed, which was difficult to do without a sound system. The idea for an automated system was presented to a group of ambitious students in 1932. Based at Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration, the group headed by Wallace Flint began a project to automate the grocery checkout system and their inventory system.

The group came up with a system whereby shoppers would select their items from a catalogue, which corresponding to the product in the catalogue were tickets that they could tear out. These tickets were punch cards, which they would then hand to the cashier upon purchasing the items. The cashiers would then insert this into a reader, to which the product is then pulled out from the storeroom and delivered to the counter. A customer receipt and an easier system for updating the inventory records would follow this.

The system was a step into the right direction, however this saw problems as the reader was expensive to build and run. It was not until a student, Bernie Silver, at Drexel Institute in Philadelphia, overheard a conversation about automating a data collection system. Silver relayed this information to his colleague and fellow teacher, Norman Woodland, who upon hearing this spent the next two years working on a device.

The first barcode that Woodland had come up with based on Morse code, stretching the lines vertically. This was then converted into circles, which today is known as the ”bulls eye” code. Many years later Woodland took up employment at IBM, and continued with his work on data collection. He used his time at home to build a reader, which was large in size and expensive to run. In an attempt to gain assistance with the prototype, Woodland approached his bosses at IBM who made an offer for the patent.

However, Woodland Silver sold the patent to Philco, who then sold it to RCA. During the 1950′’s and 1960′’s many inventors proposed ideas for the data collection system and reader. It would not be until 1973 when IBM one the proposal coming up with digit codes, beginning with 0. In 1974 Wrigleys chewing was the first recorded product in a grocery store to have used with a UPC barcode and read using a laser barcode scanner.

All through the 1970s, barcode scanners and scanning systems were more affordable as the price of microprocessors became more affordable. Since then the barcode has become an important and integral part of product data collection, this revolutionised our ability to collect data using an automated system. It also virtually eliminated errors of data recording and data storage, which has certainly proved to come a long way since the days of manually recording products and ordering stock based on guesswork.

Is Special training Required for Operating a Strapping Machine?

March 26, 2008

Unfortunately, not just anyone can pick up a strapping machine and know exactly what to do with it. In fact, if someone tried to do that, they would either put it right back down or use their best guess. The only problem with using their best guess is that it could result in severe injury. There are certain steps that need to be taken prior to using a strapping machine. Someone who has never seen one before is not going to know the protocol for operating one or will not know how to do it safely.

Someone who does not know how to operate a strapping machine can pose harm to the product being shipped and to those who must work around the product after it has been strapped. Improper strapping can cause the product to turn over and, if there are people around, can severely injure anyone who is around the product at that time. That is why it is important that anyone operating a strapping machine be trained before using it.

First of all, there are certain steps involved with learning how to use a strapping machine. The individual must learn the different parts of the machine and what it is they do. They must know about things such as the oil reservoir and how to fill it in case it becomes low. These tools are usually fitted with an oil reservoir that is easy to fill, which makes it easy to service. If an employee is operating a machine with a low oil reservoir, this can do serious damage to the machine.

Second of all, the employee must also know how to load the different types of strapping and how to program the machine for each type of strapping. It is important to know how to program the machine for the different types of strapping because programming for the wrong one could be dangerous on so many levels. Products that are not strapped with the right strapping can pose a risk to the product and those working around it. The strapping could break if it is not of the right width and thickness and the product is too heavy for it to sustain.

It is also very important that the employee know how to adjust the strap tension. There is a simple way to adjust that through what is called a strap tension regulator. The strapping must be tight in order for the product to be secure. Product that moves around easily while strapped can actually break the strapping which, again, can cause damage to the product and injure anyone working around the product at that time.

The employee must also know what to do in case of faulty operation of the tool. That is why there is a releasing of the feed wheel. It is not out of the question that the strap can become jammed within the tool. What the feed wheel does is release the air motor in order to clear the jam. If the employee doesn”t know how to do this, then valuable time can be wasted as well as a plethora of other problems if the employee tries to improperly cure the jam.

So this makes it quite easy to see that special training is indeed needed to learn how to use a strapping machine. Without it, the operator, the tool, the product, and any other persons working around the product are in danger. It isn”t as easy as walking up to it, looking at it, and then knowing exactly how it works. Each person should be properly trained in order to successfully strap goods for shipment.
